These messages will be stored on the server for 2-3 days and will then be deleted permanently from the server for your privacy.

Please note that you may not be able to check your messages if you turn off your phone or you are not connected to a network for more than 2-3 days.
Also, if you do not log in to KakaoTalk Desktop for more than 3 days, you may not be able to check messages delievered during that time on your mobile from your desktop.

  4. KakaoTalk ID is an identification username to be used in place of a phone number. Users can easily search and add friends by KakaoTalk IDs instead of by phone number.
  5. Go to Find > ID Search to search for a friend using his/her KakaoTalk ID.
  6. KakaoTalk allows you to add close friends to your Favorites list. To add a friend to Favorites, tap the star icon on your friend's mini-profile. To remove a friend from Favorites, deselect the star icon.

You can also edit your friends list by tapping the Edit button in the Friends tab.

  7. KakaoTalk is available in 230 officially registered international country codes. Please select the correct code for your country, then enter your phone number (without the country code), and then continue through the SMS verification process. 8. 1) If push notifications are currently disabled:

Go to your iPhone Settings > Notifications > KakaoTalk and check if the Sounds and Show in Notification Center options are enabled.

Once you change the notification settings, please enable the Airplane Mode for 30 seconds before disabling. Then run your KakaoTalk app again.

    2) If you have enabled notifications for KakaoTalk in your iPhone Settings and are connected to a Wi-Fi network, but still not receiving push notifications:

Make sure that the TCP port 5223 is open to TCP traffic for notifications to work. Please contact your network administrator to check whether the TCP port 5223 is blocked by the Wi-Fi firewall.

For more information on notification settings, please visit the link below.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3576?viewlocale=en_US

    3) If your iPhone/iPod is unlocked or jailbroken:  Install "PushFix" to enable push notifications on your iPhone/iPod.

  9. Even when KakaoTalk push notifications are enabled, they may not appear 100% of the time. This is especially the case when the network is changing (Wi-Fi to 3G or vice versa). Push notifications can be lost or delayed in delivery at this time. As iPod Touch devices work only with Wi-Fi, when they are on sleep-mode, push notifications will arrive in 15 minute intervals.
  10. Making a regular phone call by tapping the phone number in your friend's mini profile allows you to make a call without going into your device Contacts. You will be charged for the call according to your service plan.
