  1. The host can set the Team Chat chatroom's member invitation role.
Contact the host and check the member invitation role if you are unable to invite a new member to the Team Chat.

    [How to enable feature]
    • KakaoTalk > your chatroom > upper right menu (≡) > Settings (gear icon) > Team Settings > Manage Access > Member Invitation Role

  2. Regular members are restricted from creating events if the host sets the calendar create event permission to "Host Only".
Regular members will be allowed to create calendar events if the permission is set to "All Members".
Permissions can be changed using the steps below.
    • KakaoTalk > your chatroom > upper right menu (≡) > Chatroom settings (gear icon) > Team settings > Manage calendar settings > "Create Events" permission
  3. A friend may not show in the Team Chat invitation list, even after that friend has been added, if the friend is included in the hidden or blocked friends list.
  4. You may not be able to invite members, even if the member is shown in the member invitation list, in the following situations.
    • If the number of participants exceed the 3,000 limit
    • If the member you wish to invite has left the Team Chat chatroom and declined invitations
  5. Team Data used in the Team Chat chatroom uses the host's Talk Drive to back up chats and media.
Therefore, chats and media that is exchanged in the Team Chat will not be automatically backed up if the host's Talk Drive storage is full.
To restart auto backups, free up enough space (at least 1 GB) in the Talk Drive by deleting existing data or subscribing to a larger storage plan, then go to the notification card in the Talk Drive home screen to restart auto-backup.
Please be aware that you will not be able to access files that were not backed up during auto backup suspension, were not downloaded, or if media files have expired.

  6. Team Chat is a new kind of chat that has an admin (host) who manages the chatroom and members.

Create a Team Chat and use the numerous host features to manage your chatroom.
Team Chat features are now available to all users, and not just to Talk Drive users.
