Login Restriction by Country Main

'Login Restriction by Country' is a security service that restricts login attempts that are made from countries that are not registered as login permitted countries.

'Login Restriction by Country' can be used to protect your account from possible abuse from overseas IPs.
'Login Restriction by Country' is enabled automatically for safe service use and can be disabled anytime by following the steps below;

- KakaoTalk : Settings > Privacy > Kakao Account > Login Restriction by Country > Disable
- My Kakao Account (https://accounts.kakao.com) : Protect Your Account > Login Restriction by Country > Disable

Please contact the Customer Center if you are unable to log in using additional verification methods.
You can log in using just your Kakao Account and password in countries registered as login permitted countries.

One main country of use is automatically registered as a login permitted country if you use the 'Login Restricted by Country' service.
You may add additional countries in the additional verification screen when traveling overseas.
For account security purposes, you can only add up to three login permitted countries.

Login permitted countries can be deleted using the following steps. Please delete countries you will not log in from.

- KakaoTalk : Settings > Privacy > Kakao Account > Login Restriction by Country > Delete
- My Kakao Account (https://accounts.kakao.com) : Protect Your Account > Login Restriction by Country > Delete
You can log in from countries that have not been registered as login permitted countries by verifying your KakaoTalk or email.

Confirm the login request message sent to your phone's KakaoTalk or enter the verification number sent to the email saved in your Kakao Account or contacts to login.

Please contact the Customer Center if you are unable to log in using additional verification methods.
Even if the 'Login Restriction by Country' service is activated, additional verification is not required to log in from countries
that are not registered as login permitted countries if you have already verified using a similar two-factor or two-channel verification method.
This is to eliminate inconveniences during service use due to repeated verifications.

Please contact the Customer Center if additional verifications are not displayed and you have not used a two-factor or two-channel verification method.
If you have not received KakaoTalk message or email for Additional Verification, please check the followings:

1) KakaoTalk Verification

If you're using KakaoTalk normally but have not received verification messages via KakaoTalk, check whether the account information entered for login matches up with the account information registered to KakaoTalk.
You can check contact numbers and email information in [ KakaoTalk > My Profile > Settings > Profile Management ].

2) Backup Email

There may be delays in delivering emails depending on mail service.
If you're not receiving verification email for a while, tap the "Resend Verification Code" button. It could be sorted into Spams or an Individual Mailbox. Please search by keyword, "Kakao" or "카카오," in Inbox.
If you have not been receiving verification emails from Kakao Account, please contact your mail service website to resolve this issue.
