1) Open the Windows Task Manager, end KakaoTalk.exe on the Processes list, and try again.
2) Click on “End Process” to shut down the program.
Check if your anti-virus program is blocking the KakaoTalk PC application.
Recently released programs are often mistaken for a virus and blocked by anti-virus software.
We are working on this issue, but in the meantime, please unblock and allow the application to install.
The recommended Windows version for running the PC version of KakaoTalk is as follows:
Windows XP SP2 or above
If you are an Android user, you can download files on KakaoTalk 4.0 or later. Once you finish downloading a file, you can open it with an application installed on your mobile phone.
For iPhone users, we are currently working on a new version with a file download feature. Please stay tuned for more updates from us.
If you haven't logged in to KakaoTalk on your PC for a while, you'll not be able to see messages for period you haven't logged in.
Your unread messages are stored for up to 3 days and are deleted permanently for privacy purposes.
You can view your previous chats from your mobile if you have frequently used KakaoTalk on your mobile.
